Domains of Society
There are different expressions of the same concept of how we can understand the marketplace and how it impacts society. Some use the language of spheres of influence, others cultural mountains. We have chosen to use the language of domains to most readily align our thinking with biblical thought and prophecy.
In the future Jesus will return to assert his leadership over all of creation. As he leads up to this day his followers are called to become influential leaders in each domain so that they are transformed from secular humanism to becoming the King's domains, or king-dom... "Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matt 6:10, Psalm 110). This re-formation construct is displayed in the following diagram:

River of Life
The River of Life flows through the Bible from cover to cover. From watering the Garden of Eden to Psalm 46:
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God.
Yet there is no river in Jerusalem… except the streams that Jesus spoke of in John 7:37-39 on the last day of the feast of Tabernacles:
On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified.
The river flows through Ezekiel 47, through St Paul’s teaching on the rock of Christ at 1 Cor 10:4 and on to its fulfilment in Revelation 22:
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations.
Today the Church is that river that exists to bring life to the dead sea, as beautifully portrayed in Ezekiel 47:
Then he led me back to the bank of the river. When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river. 8 He said to me, “This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live.
As we come to Jesus then out of our inner most being flows the rivers of living water – which is the Holy Spirit. We never have to make water enter unity. Water is always in unity as is the one Holy Spirit. However the church has been pretty good at damming the river or diverting it into ineffective streams that evaporate in the dessert.
There is a time for the streams of the Spirit to flow together to become a mighty river that brings life to the city. Tributaries cannot do this. Only a river that grows ankle deep, knee deep, waist deep and them so wide that no one can cross it, and it has the capacity to change a city and nation.
